General Summary Computes, analyze, records, and verifies financial data for use in maintaining accounting records and supporting internal management by performing the following duties.
Principal Accountabilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. - Compute, analyze, maintain, and communicate weekly internal management reports (volumes, yields, direct labor, and spending). - Assist Cost Manager with monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting. - Compute and analyze costing studies of new potential finished products. - Assist in maintaining finance data in the SAP system. - Perform various month end ledger closing activities. - Reconcile inventory and product loss accounts. - Responsible for auditing & maintaining cycle count & physical inventory polices & procedures. - Responsible for auditing, maintaining, and reconciling outside warehouse inventories. - Assist in analyzing and preparing monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to management. - Setup, compile, analyze, and close special batch internal orders. - Assist in annual budget preparations. - Participate in plant reliability programs. - Assist in tracking, analyzing, and providing feedback on key outbound freight and shipping labor variances and cost saving opportunities. - Other projects may be assigned as requested.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's (BA or BS) degree Major in Accounting or Finance and 3 - 5 years of manufacturing experience (preferably in Food Processing).
Language Skills Strong written & verbal skills - candidate will need to clearly communicate finance & accounting data to financial and non-financial employees, plant management, and corporate personnel. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing Accounting System software; REP system experience (SAP a plus); Payroll systems; Microsoft Office (excel, word, access).
